Things I Thunk

Ramblings from Scott Robinson-- about writing and photography and... stuff. Probably not all that exciting, but there you go.

Summer is on the way

Cricket season has started again. I know this because I'm hurting all over.

My team from last year has been split up so I now have to contend with some Gumbies. They're nice guys, but between the three of them they managed to drop 5 catches. The game would have been a whoe heap different if they'd taken them. As it is, we've already lost the first innings and with the AFL grand final likely to steal a lot of our players this coming saturday, I imagine it won't take long for us to lose outright. Oh well.

One the positive side, because my team isn't as good as last year I'll get to do a lot more bowling. Woo hoo. I'm hurting at the moment because I bowled 7 overs straight the other day. Took 2 for 21 and dropped a caught and bowled (yes, not only the gumbies dropped catches-- though going on last seasons efforts I might almost be classed as one of that group :( ). On the down side, because the team isn't as good I'll need to do a lot better with the batting. Shit.

Was fun though. Just hope I recover in time...
